Additional AntiVirus Product Installation
Requirements for Windows 95-98
Note: This document applies only to
Win-95a,b,c and Win-98 (NOT for Win 98 SE)
Windows 95:
Client computers using Windows 95A, Windows 95B, and Windows 95C must
meet these additional requirements:
1. VCREDIST.EXE, available at NO CHARGE from
Microsoft. Go to the Microsoft
Knowledge Base Article Q259403 and download VC6RedistSetup_enu.exe Run
VC6RedistSetup_enu.exe; it will extract a file named vcredist.exe Run vcredist.exe
NOTE: After you install VCREDIST.EXE, you must restart the
computer.
2. DCOM95 1.3, available at NO CHARGE from Microsoft.
Go to http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom95/download.asp
Click on link which says "DCOM95 for Windows 95 " to download dcom95.exe
Run dcom95.exeNOTE: After you install DCOM95 1.3, you must restart the
computer.
Windows 98:
Client computers using Windows 98 must meet these additional
requirements. Client computers using Windows 98 SE do not need this program
installed on them
